The final artist lineup for MoogFest 2010 is still being finalize, but we're told that MGMT, Thievery Corporation and Massive Attack have already signed on, and we hope some classic, prog rockers will make the event. There will also be panel discussions and product displays. Knoxville based AC Entertaiment is expecting over 25 acts will perform at several venues in downtown Asheville; the Civic Center Arena, Thomas Wolfe Auditorium and the Orange Peel nightclub.
Ashley Capps of AC Entertainment said of Dr Moog; “Bob Moog changed the course of music as we know it,”. “He put new worlds of sound literally at the fingertips of musicians, unleashing a creative revolution. We’re thrilled and honored to be able to celebrate his extraordinary legacy in the place that he called home and we hope to do so for many years to come.”
