GREEN DAY to Play at NY Jets Home Opener

MUSIC NEWS- Football's love affair with rock and roll continues to blossom with Green Day announcing they will play with/for the The New York Jets at the team's regular-season opener on September 13 in E. Rutherford, NJ when the team faces the Baltimore Ravens in the Monday night game at New Meadowlands Stadium.

Green Day is said to be performing "Last of the American Girls" with the Broadway cast of their Tony Award-winning rock musical "American Idiot".

Also part of the day's festivities is the appearance of guitarist Slash and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger performing at a tailgate concert outside the stadium.  And, Scherzinger has been tapped to the national anthem.
