The deadline for photo submissions is August 25, and one winner will be chosen by August 31 for the grand prize of two front row seats to the sold-out Jackson Browne with David Lindley show at NYC's Beacon Theatre on September 14, 2010. You'll also get business class air travel for two, local ground transportation, and a two-night Manhattan hotel stay. Jackson Browne and David Lindley will personally judge submissions and pick the winning entry.
The Jackson Browne with David Lindley tour launched to support the release of Love Is Strange (out via Inside Recordings). It's a 2-CD set that captured their 2006 tour of Spain. Produced by Jackson Browne and Paul Dieter, Love Is Strange presents songs from throughout Browne's career including "I'm Alive," "Take It Easy," "For Everyman," "Late For The Sky," "Running On Empty," and "The Next Voice You Hear," as well as two of David Lindley's best-known songs, "Mercury Blues" and "El Rayo-X", both from his acclaimed 1981 Browne-produced LP of that name.
On record and in concert, Jackson Browne and David Lindley have a musical collaboration that reaches back nearly 40 years. A legendary stringed-instrument virtuoso, Lindley has played on many of Browne's albums, beginning with 1973's For Everyman, as well as on Late For The Sky, The Pretender (both on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time), and Running On Empty.
The 2010 Jackson Browne with David Lindley Tour runs through September 30.
