MUSIC NEWS - Following a rapturous response at Lilith Fair, indie pop/rockers, The Weepies have confirmed an extensive full-band USA tour. It'll be their first in over four years and has them out supporting the forthcoming album 'Be My Thrill' (releasing August 31 on Nettwerk Records).

The Weepies; Deb Talan and Steve Tannen, decided to stop touring after their last album to enjoy their new family and have since stayed in the spotlight with over song 100 licensing deals on many network TV shows and movies. This time around, the couple hits the road with their two kids in tow.
After meeting in a Cambridge folk club 9 years ago, The Weepies earned legions of adoring fans through years of non-stop touring, including sold-out dates around the country at venues like Philadelphia's World Café Live, LA's Hotel Café, NYC's Canal Room, and Boston's Paradise. The band also sold out three consecutive shows at Cambridge's Club Passim within minutes of their announcement.
"In 2006 we started out just the two of us, driving to shows in our old Toyota packed like a sausage, playing coffeehouses," remembers Steve. By mid-summer we were at the Oxegen Festival in Ireland... The crowd swelled to maybe 1,500, totally packed... We ended with a sold out tour of the east coast of the US with a full band. An amazing and totally exhausting year!"
