MUSIC NEWS - PAUL SIMON has today unveiled a 2011 spring tour to support his new album, So Beautiful or So What, his first in five years that's out April 12 via Hear Music/Concord Music Group and produced by Paul and Phil Ramone.
His touring band for the run includes Cameroonian guitarist Vincent Nguini, pianist Mick Rossi, drummer Jim Oblon, saxophonist & keyboardist Andrew Snitzer, bassist Bakithi Kumalo, guitarist Mark Stewart, master percussionist Jamey Haddad and multi-instrumentalist Tony Cedras. The concerts will draw from Simon’s extensive song catalogue that includes “several songs that haven’t been performed live in many years.” Simon will also appear two consecutive nights on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, April 6 & 7 for music and chat.
