BLONDIE To Perform YouTube Presents Concert on 10/10

MUSIC NEWS - Blondie will perform a special YouTube Presents concert live from the Google's NYC offices on October 10, 2012, at 4pm EST.  And, you now have a chance to win tickets to the exclusive performance via the band’s Facebook page. Blondie is currently on the road wrapping up a run of select East Coast shows, which followed their “Whip It To Shreds” Tour, a co-headlining run of dates with Devo last month for which the band received glowing praise.

Last year, Blondie; Debbie Harry, Clem Burke and Chris Stein along with newer Blondie band members Leigh Foxx, Tommy Kessler and Matt Katz-Bohen, released their ninth critically acclaimed studio album Panic of Girls. They received rave reviews during their sold-out North American tour and made two very special national TV performances on the TODAY Show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to perform single “Mother.”

Panic of Girls is colored with inspirations from New York City's roiling melting pot and street-level pop culture, featuring new wave dance gems, songs sung in French and Spanish and a reggae cover are threaded together with a timeless pop sheen.  Blondie was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 and has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide throughout their storied four-decade career
