MUSIC NEWS- While NJ, NY and most of the East Coast starts to recover in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, NBC will hold a benefit concert for the victims of the Frankenstorm featuring some local, and best know music ats. NJ's Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi, along with Long Islander Billy Joel will be joined by Christina Aguilera, Sting, Jimmy Fallon and more in an event to benefit the American Red Cross.
NBC's "Today" host Matt Lauer will host the entire event. It will be broadcast on NBC and it's various cable stations: CNBC, USA, MSNBC and E!
As you know Long Island and NJ were two of the areas that were hardest hit by the storm. In fact, Springsteen already thanked the first responders to Hurricane Sandy during his show October 31 at the Rochester Blue Cross Arena. The event had been postponed a day due to the storm.
The benefit will be broadcast from Rockefeller Center in NYC. It will air at 8 pm ET and will be tape delayed for the west coast.
