MUSIC NEWS- If you attended this year's Coachella, the memories are still fresh, but don't dwell on the past as organizers are already getting ready for 2014. The event promoter, Goldenvoice, announced Monday morning that next year's festival is boooked for April 11 thru 13 and April 18 thru 20. The first round of advance ticket sales will happend this Friday at 10 am (Pacific) at coachella.com.
For those on a budget, this round of ticket sales is the only one where you use Coachella's installment payment plan.
Coachella 2014 will be the first fest run under Goldenvoice's new deal with the city of Indio, CA, with the festival expected to increase attendance to nearly 100,000 music fans per day. The country music festival Stagecoach is looking to grow to 75,000 per day. The new arrangement locks in the festival at its current location until 2030, with a per-ticket fee of $5.01 going to Indio.
The contract also allows Goldenvoice the opportunity to host two fall festivals at the site, but no announcement has yet been made about any plans to do so.
