Spoon’s latest album, They Want My Soul (Loma Vista), received unanimous critical acclaim upon its release including innumerable top-tier placements in year-end lists. In their Music Portfolio on stands now,GQ praises Spoon’s ability to reach new heights on their new album:
“You’d think the laser-cut songs onThey Want My Soul sprang from the mind of a Zeitgeisty 20-year-old. You’d be wrong…How many indie bands hit another peak on their eighth album? We can think of exactly one.”
