Music News- Legendary rock musicians and cultural icons John Fogerty and ZZ Top will come together for the “Blues and Bayous Tour” this spring. The tour, which starts up on May 25th, will make stops across the USA from the East Coast to the West. The full tour schedule is attached, below.

ZZ Top holds the distinction of being one of the longest running bands with the original line-up. Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard reflect their Texas roots in everything with their non-stop rock and blues, resulting in over 50 million albums sold worldwide. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Keith Richards calling the band’s relationship to the blues, “the heart of the matter.”
The Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour is The Smashing Pumpkins' first tour in nearly 20 years to feature founding members Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, and James Iha. The 36-city tour will kick off in Glendale, AZ on July 12, 2018 and visit North American arenas throughout the summer. Tickets for the tour's previously announced dates are on sale now. The tour, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of the band's formation, will highlight music from the group's inception through 2000, and will exclusively feature material from their groundbreaking debut Gish through Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Adore, and Machina . Longtime Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder will also take part, as the band moves to a three guitar lineup to better emulate the signature tones and textures of their albums.
Formed in Chicago, IL in 1988, The Smashing Pumpkins released their heralded debut album Gish in 1991 and found mainstream success with 1993's 4x multi-platinum Siamese Dream and 1995's 10x multi-platinum Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness . Music News- Classic Rock Legends Wishbone Ash Hit the Road on Spring US Tour
Wishbone Ash, one of the most influential guitar bands in the history of rock, will be coming to the States in April 2018 on the Open Road Tour. True to its name, the tour will see the band clocking some serious miles as they return to America's Southern swath, from North Carolina and Florida to California. Longtime fans and new converts alike will revel in the group’s signature twin-guitar mastery and powerhouse rhythm section as they present classics spanning their career.
Formed in 1969, Wishbone Ash is gearing up for its 50th anniversary on the heels of a limited-edition deluxe 30-disc box set, “Wishbone Ash: The Vintage Years,” available April 2018 through Madfish Records.

Music News- Though not an official reunion of the Monkees, it sure is close. Members Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz have announced plans for their first-ever tour as a duo, why fellow surviving member Peter Tork's is not involved is unknown.
The concerts, called "The Monkees Present: The Mike and Micky Show," start up in June. A complete tour itinerary with dates, cities and venues is below. Davy Jones, the fourth original member, died in 2012.
Tork posted in a news release that his work on a tribute album to Louisiana bluesman Lead Belly is preventin him from touring. But Nesmith hinted that something else was going on behind the scenes. "I'm afraid I would betray a confidence if I said any more than, 'This is not a right time for him,'" he told Rolling Stone. "He has his reasons. They are very private."
Releasing on Friday, April 27, 2018 from Ear Music, the live recording ‘Foreigner with the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Chorus’ documents the group’s two sold-out shows at KKL in Lucerne, Switzerland in May of 2017.
The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Chorus were conducted by Ernst van Tiel and the album is the culmination of a year-long collaboration between Mick Jones and Grammy nominated composing/arranging team, Dave Eggar & Chuck Palmer. Songs featured include ‘Juke Box Hero’, ‘Waiting For A Girl Like You’, ‘Cold As Ice’, ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’, ‘Double Vision’, ‘Urgent’, ‘Feels Like The First Time’, ‘Say You Will’ and ‘That Way Yesterday’.
Mick Jones says: “I could never have imagined when I set out to create Foreigner 40 years ago, that we’d still be touring around the world and performing the music we love all these years later. “Dave Eggar and Chuck Palmer’s orchestral arrangements have shown us a new symphonic dimension of our music, which I hope our fans will enjoy.”

Music News- MN Progressive bluegrass sextet Trampled By Turtles have announced the May 4th release of their long-awaited new album Life Is Good On The Open Road. After an indefinite hiatus, the group returns with their first new album in four years, consisting of 12 new songs that feature Trampled By Turtles’ signature blend of rock, folk, punk, country and their brand of progressive bluegrass.
