MUSIC NEWS - Alternative rockers They Might Be Giants have announced a September release of a new kids CD and full length animated DVD, Here Comes Science. It's the follow-up to this years Grammy Award winning Best Children's Album Here Come the 123s. The 2-disc set will be available as exclusives thru Amazon (on disc) and iTunes (digitally) on September 1, with a release everywhere else on September 22 via Idlewild/Disney Sound (order below thru MNN). And, an Autumn tour to promote the releases has been announced (see full itinerary below).

Though this release is geared towards post-toddlers, like most TMBG family releases, adults won't be surprised when they catch themselves popping these songs into their own iPod. Titles include “Photosynthesis,” “Meet the Elements” and the fully rocking “I Am a Paleontologist”.

The release was immediately met with audience and gained critical raves, and became an unexpected commercial success.
