"Like It's Her Birthday" will appear on Good Charlotte's fifth studio album, Cardiology, which releases October 26th on Capitol Records.

SUFJAN STEVENS' New "All Delighted People" EP Out Digitally

MUSIC NEWS - Sufjan Stevens' new EP All Delighted People is available today exclusively from Asthmatic Kitty Records thru Sufjan's Bancamp site for only $5.00 !  They're also offering a free stream of the EP.

Next week, August 23 the EP will be available for purchase from most digital stores and will appear on CD and vinyl later this year. All Delighted People includes two versions of the title track which debuted on Sufjan's 2009 tour along with six other new songs. The collection is Sufjan's first original song-oriented material since 2006.

MUSIC NEWS - Black Country Communion, the new English-American rock supergroup featuring vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Trapeze), drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin), keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater) and blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, have posted a free MP3 download today of their debut single "One Last Soul" on their official website, get it,  here.

The song will be featured on BCC's much anticipated debut album released in the UK/Europe by Mascot Records on 20th September, followed by 21st September North American release on the J&R Adventures label. Produced and mixed by Kevin Shirley (Black Crowes, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin), the album was mastered by legendary Bob Ludwig, and recorded at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California.

Goo Goo Dolls Release Tour Only EP, Digitally Too!

MUSIC NEWS- Even as the tour away Summer 2010, the Goo Goo Dolls have just released an exclusive Tour only EP, called Waiting For the Rest Of It, which is being sold at all of their tour stops and will be released through all digital service providers on July 20th.
 
The EP has four songs from the band’s upcoming ninth studio album, Something For The Rest Of Us, which will be released on August 31 by Warner Bros Records. They are: “Home” (you've likely heard the first single already on radio), “Sweetest Lie,” “Now I Hear,” and “Still Your Song.” The EP also includes a live version of their hit “Broadway”.

Now, 40 years later, Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music raise the curtain on remastered CD and digital download releases of 15 key albums from the Apple Records catalog.  All 15 titles will be released on October 26, 2010 with most of the physical CDs including bonus material.  Together, the 15 albums represent the first ever Apple Records releases to be available via digital download.

In the life of Nathan Williams, the year of 2009 will go down as both a highlight reel and a total shit show. Meteorically, feverishly and somewhat improbably, two albums worth of naïve punk rock that he recorded behind his parents' San Diego home as Wavves became a sensation in the indie music world.  So, of course, passports got filled, capers got pulled off and lots of good things were said about the music in both print and digital world, along with actual human voices. At the same time, fights were fought, situations got hairy and people got indignant and mean. Oh well. That's life.

Rockers, RIVAL SONS To Indianapolis for the Indy500 !!

MUSIC NEWS - L.A. rockers RIVAL SONS will take part in the largest single-day sporting event in the world, the Indianapolis 500. The band will perform at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as part of Miller Lite Carb Day and at the IZOD Race to the Party event on Saturday (5/29) at Monument Circle in Downtown Indianapolis, sharing the stage with Camp Freddy.

RIVAL SONS'  song "Tell Me Something", from their rocking debut album Before the Fire is  being used heard around the nation in Izod's Indy Car Series TV campaign. Nearly 400,000 race fans will gather at the Speedway this Sunday, May 30 to celebrate speed, technology, cars and stars of the IZOD IndyCar Series.

THOMAS DOLBY to Return After a 20 Year Recording Break !!!

MUSIC NEWS -  Thomas Dolby , the iconic UK 80s songwriter, singer, musician, electronic pop-star whose smash hits She Blinded Me With Science and Hyperactive helped define the MTV generation/revolution, is preparing to end his 20-year absence from the recording scene with a new album later this year to be called; A Map of the Floating City. The new album will feature appearances by Mark Knopfler, Regina Spektor, Natalie MacMaster, Bruce Woolley and Imogen Heap.  In advance of the full album, Thomas Dolby will release three digital-only EPs that will contain three or four songs each and will be exclusive to members of his online fan community, The Flat Earth Society.

The five time Grammy-nominated British artist quit the music business in the early 90s and spent many years in Silicon Valley, where his tech company Beatnik Inc. created the ringtone synthesizer embedded in more than 3 billion mobile phones shipped by Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and others. Now retired from Beatnik, Dolby returned to his native UK and is recording an album of brand new songs in a renewable energy-powered studio he built aboard a 1930's lifeboat in the garden of his beach house on England's North Sea coast.
