“It’s the opposite of the VMAs. It’s like the Sinead O’Connor video [for “Nothing Compares 2 U”], but, like, the most modern version. I wanted it to be tough but really pretty – that’s what Sinead did with her hair and everything. The trick is getting the camera up above you, so it almost looks like you’re looking up at someone and crying. I think people are going to hate it, they’re going to see my ass and be like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe she did that.’"

Some of you may have heard that Randy Meisner is in a California hospital and you're concerned. I just talked to his wife Lana and want to give you guys the latest. Randy was at home when something he was eating obstructed his breathing and he lost consciousness. Lana rushed him to the emergency room where he got immediate care.Things are going to be a little rough for Randy for a while, but his doctors are optimistic he’ll recover from this incident. If you can, say a little prayer or just send love Randy’s way. Rusty

MUSIC NEWS - After their recent TV appearance, HANSON has now announced the first two legs of a North American tour to support their anticipated fifth record, Shout It Out. The word of the tour follows a whirlwind week of excitement for the Hansons and their debut single off the new album. The new tune, "Thinking 'Bout Somethin'" was released digitally on Friday in conjunction with the premiere network television performance of the song on Late Show with David Letterman, and the music video debut on Myspace, garnering praise from fans and critics alike including Perez Hilton, MTV, Entertainment Weekly, Absolute Punk, MNN and Salon.
The video, featuring "Weird" Al Yankovic, was viewed over a million times in the first few days of release, and is still rising. The lively homage to classic film The Blues Brothers which recreates an iconic scene where the band and Aretha Franklin's soulful music incites over 300 people to dance in the street.
MUSIC NEWS - MILEY CYRUS has announced her autumn tour; her first without her Disney alter ego Hannah Montana. The big tour will visit 43 cities accross the USA and will kick off September 14 in Portland, OR, and continue thru early December. Full itinerary is below. Family will accompany Cyrus on the tour, as her older brother Trace Cyrus and his band, Metro Station will open all shows. No word on whether dad will perform !
"Breakout," Miley Cyrus' most recent release and her first without the co-billing of Hannah Montana, was released last summer. For 2009, the tween superstar hit the big screen in "Hannah Montana: The Movie," adapted from the Disney teen sitcom of the same name. And it was announced this week that Disney channel has ordered a fourth season of the TV show, which also stars Cyrus' real-life father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Mitchel Musso who has released his news record.
MUSIC NEWS- NJ's own, The Jonas Brothers will hit the field and perform at the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game in Dallas, TX as part of a nationally televised halftime show on the Fox television network on November 27, 2008 at 3:15 pm CST. Their performance kicks off the 2008 Salvation Army Red Kettle Christmas campaign, which runs in the USA through Christmas Eve.
Pop superstar and teen sensation, Miley Cyrus lands her second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 charts today, as her "Breakout" (Hollywood Records) cd sold 371,000 copies in the USA (buy a copy HERE from MNN) , according to Nielsen Soundscan. Breakout's first week sales are the second-biggest of 2008 for a female artist, following the 463,000 copy debut of Mariah Carey's "E=MC2" (Island/IDJMG) (purchase a copy HERE). Ms Cyrus' last album, the half soundtrack/half studio "Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus" (Hollywood/Walt Disney), entered the charts at No. 1 last summer also. The initial "Hanna Montana" soundtrack, which started Cyrus recording career, also arrived at #1 in 2006, with first-week sales of 281,000. That album became the best seller of 2006's fourth quarter, a great feat considering it only had three months of sales.

She discussed the "photos", her tour and the fans shut out of it, her new movie and acting future, her songwriting (yes, she writes some too), the new album and life in general as a superstar. She credits her mom and dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, as being the most important influences in her life.
