MUSIC NEWS - American metal rockers, KORN takes to the airways tonite, for their first performance on Lopez Tonight. The show, hosted by comedian George Lopez, airs at 11 PM ET on TBS. The band will perform their brand new single, "Let the Guilt Go," their second single off their latest album, Korn III - Remember Who You Are.
Korn will be joined onstage for the performance by the latest addition to their touring band, guitarist Wes Geer (formerly of the So Cal band Hed Pe). The band recently completed one of the summer's most successful rock tour in the USA as the closing headline act for the third annual Rock Star Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.

MUSIC NEWS - HBO, Geffen Records, House of Blues and Make It Right have announced “A Night of Treme,” a benefit show featuring the artists and music from the highly-acclaimed HBO series Treme. House of Blues in New Orleans will host the concert on the eve of the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Saturday, August 28 at 8:00pm.
Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster with all of the proceeds from the ticket sales going to benefit Make It Right’s work to rebuild safe, sustainable and affordable homes for working families
in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward. MUSIC NEWS - The visionary Irish rocker, (Sir) Bob Geldof and his worldwide
Live Aid concert to raise money to help in the famine relief efforst for Ethiopia is being made into a TV film, the BBC announced on Wednesday. The 1985 concert event, assembled by Geldof and UK music promoter Harvey Goldsmith, found an audience of an estimated 1.5 billion people and helped raise the public and political awareness of Africans impacted by the poverty, starvation and disease.
Filming for the 90 minute teleplay has already started in Dublin. "When Harvey met Bob," will follow the story from the day Geldof (of the Boomtown Rats band) got home to find his girlfriend at the time, Paula Yates holding their baby and crying while she watched television footage from feeding camps in Eritrea.

MUSIC NEWS- Legendary rock icon Steve Miller has signed on to celebrate BINGO, his muchy anticipated new album by sharing the stage with longtime friend Kenny Chesney on CMT's CROSSROADS tv show. The two will perform each other's songs and share some stories on the show, filmed at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium. The program will air Friday, July 9th at 10pm/9pm central. Featured on the hour long episode will include Miller's classics such as "The Joker" , "Abracadabra," and from the new album, "You Got Me Dizzy". Miller will bring us the Chesney hits "Living In Fast Forward" and "I Go Back."
"From the first time Kenny invited me to play with him in San Francisco at AT&T Park, until this minute he has been a refreshing and wonderful friend," Miller

MUSIC NEWS - Lyle Lovett makes a special guest appearance tonight with the Kansas City Symphony at the 2010 Symphony in the Flint Hills. The sunset concert for several thousand takes place outdoors in the picturesque tallgrass prairie of Chase County, KS. Lovett will perform three songs with the symphony; If I Had a Boat,Which Way Does That Old Pony Run and Natural Forces, the title track to his newest album.
Lovett narrated the PBS special The Last Stand of the Tallgrass Prairie
and supports the Symphony in Flint Hills and its non-profit efforts of heightening appreciation and awareness of the Kansas Flint Hills.

MUSIC NEWS - San Francisco rockers, Train are back with a video for their new song "If It's Love", off their Ocotber 2009 released album Save Me, San Francisco (available on Columbia Records). The video was directed by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy fame and will premiere on Saturday, May 15 at 9am (ET/PT) on VH1 Top 20 Countdown Show.
Check out the preview clip of the "If It's Love" video below. On the premise of the video, Pete previously told MTV, "It's based off videos like (Michael Jackson's) 'Leave Me Alone,' or 'The Real Slim Shady' ... it's a bit of a parody, you'll see Pat and the guys parodying themselves a bit. MUSIC NEWS - Rocker & TV guy Bret Michaels is nearly ready to get back on stage, only a month after being sidelined by a brain hemorrhage. On Friday, his rep announced that Mr Michaels
would perform at the Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, MS, on May 28.
Michaels has been out of commission since April. He had an emergency appendectomy on April 12, and suffered a brain hemorrhage ten days later which got him in intensive care in a Phoenix, AZ hospital for two weeks.

MUSIC NEWS - While PUBLIC IMAGE LTD (PiL) continue to make their run across North America on their first U.S. tour in 18 years, the band's revealed that they will appear on NBC TV’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show” on Monday, May 17 (12:35 AMET-PT/11:25 PMCT).
And in other Pil news, the John Lydon-fronted band will film their entire performance at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY on Wednesday, May 19 for a forthcoming PiL documentary directed by Alex Mar and produced by Artists Public Domain. DJ Justin Miller of DFA Records will open the Williamsburg show.
