MUSIC NEWS - Legendary rockers, The Rolling Stones have just revealed it’s playing a club show in Los Angeles tonight with a setlist featuring every song from 1971’s “Sticky Fingers” along with other tunes. And, more special guests have been confirmed for the Zip Code Tour, including Buddy Guy and Ed Sheeran.
The club name will be revealed later today. Currently, we know that Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and company are going to an intimate venue somewhere in the 90028 zip code. Tickets will go on sale at 12 pm PDT, only at RollingStones.com. There’s a two-ticket limit and you’ll need to bring your photo ID and credit card to pick up the tickets before the gig. But don’t plan on any photos or social media-ing at the gig; no phone or cameras allowed! The Stones’ website warns that non-compliance to their rules “will result in an immediate refund and void of ticket purchase.” Reps for the band would not comment on the exact location, but it is widely thought to be the Fonda Theatre, where it would replace a set from the Americana act Shakey Graves that was moved to the Belasco at the last minute due to "logistics at the Fonda Theatre."
We also have news on opening acts for their upcoming tour. Brad Paisley announced he's on board for the June 17 gig at Nashville’s LP Field. And now, the band has updated its Twitter page and shows more special guests. Gary Clark Jr, will be joining the band May 24 at San Diego’s PETCO Park. Kid Rock plays the next show on May 30 in Columbus OH's Stadium.
Grace Potter let on via Twitter that she’ll be opening for two Zip Code Tour shows with The Stones; June 3 at Minneapolis’ TCF Bank Stadium and June 6 in Arlington, TX, at AT&T Stadium. She noted, “This is bucket lists shit!!”
