MUSIC NEWS- Bernard Sumner, founding member of New Order and Joy Division, is about to introduce us to his new music, BAD LIEUTENANT, and has enlisted the help of some of his friends, such as Phil Cunningham of New Order and Jake Evans and, for the debut release, Stephen Morris of New Order and Alex James of Blur.
Bad Lieutenant's debut album - Never Cry Another Tear is out in limited digital format on October 6, and fully available on November 10th. Bad Lieutenant, a project formed in 2007 by New Order's Bernard Sumner (guitar, vocals) and Phil Cunningham (guitar), along with Jake Evans (guitar, vocals), will see the long-awaited North American release of their debut album, Never Cry Another Tear, on their own Triple Echo Records imprint. On November 10, Never Cry Another Tear will then be distributed to all retail outlets via Original Signal Recordings. In addition, "Sink or Swim," the first single from Never Cry Another Tear, is now available as a free download for a limited time on Bad Lieutenant's website, BadLietenant.net . "Sink or Swim," along with the new track "Dynamo," will be out as a single on September 28 via digital shoppes.
