Music News- Bad Suns released their Epitaph Records debut Mystic Truth today and it's a synthesis of driving rock romanticism and new wave texture that the LA Times described as "post-punk with a hint of the Boss." After accumulating over 250 million Spotify streams, opening for the likes of Halsey and The 1975, and playing high profile festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo, Mystic Truth is a point of graduation for the young LA band, showcasing Christo Bowman’s ever-maturing songwriting chops and the band’s anthemic, open-hearted brand of rock & roll.
Check out their new single “One Magic Moment”:
And watch the video for “Away We Go,” “a triumph of color, rhythm and light” (Alternative Press): https://youtu.be/XKAh76K_tQE
Produced by Dave Sardy (Oasis, The Black Angels), Mystic Truth came to life during fits of inspiration in a variety of locales: a midcentury geodesic dome on a wind farm, a barn in Bridgehampton, the streets of Hong Kong, and the living room of the house all four members shared in the LA suburbs. The result is a collection that gathers disparate influences — from artist Bruce Nauman and magical realist author Mikhail Bulgakov to Eno-era U2 and The Blue Nile — into a potent, expansive whole.

Music News - Tame Impala (Kevin Parker) has released a new single , "Patience," the first new music since his GRAMMY nominated, RIAA Gold-Certified 2015 release, Currents. The new track, is out today on Interscope Records. Listen here.
"Patience" is a mid-tempo chugger of 70's disco and 90's house, stoned on the house-made Tame Impala lysergic liquor. A jubilant, confident cut of elegant piano jabs, driving disco drums and Parker's inimitable Photo Credit: Matt Sav
vocal style. The track is a lyrical meditation on life's cycles and phases that ascends to an overwhelmingly blissed out zenith, as our protagonist makes peace with the transience of time. Its a potent hint at the infinite possibilities for future Tame Impala. Parker will headline this year's Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival and next weekend he'll make his Saturday Night Live debut as musical guest on March 30th with Sandra Oh hosting.
In addition to Coachella, Tame Impala will headline Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, GA (May 5), Corona Capital (May 11), Boston Calling (May 25) and Barcelona's Primavera Festival (May 31), Glastonbury (June 26), Lollapalooza (August 01) and more with festival and headline dates planned throughout 2019. Full tour dates below.
Tame Impala is Kevin Parker. His last album Currents (Interscope) was released in 2015 earning him a second GRAMMY nomination, RIAA Gold-certification and word-wide critical acclaim. The New York Times labeled it a "a tour de force" and Pitchfork said, "nearly every proper song on 'Currents' is a revelatory statement of Parker's range and increasing expertise as a producer, arranger, songwriter, and vocalist while maintaining the essence of Tame Impala." NPR noted, "[Parker] advocates for constant reinvention... That commitment to evolution helps make Tame Impala an unlikely but worthy candidate for major stardom."
Hailing from Perth, Australia, he first toured the U.S. in 2010, playing small clubs for crowds of 200. A handful of trips to the U.S. later and thanks to the ravenous demand of fans for a transcendent live performance, Tame Impala has gone on to headline festivals and theaters around the world and released three full length albums - Innerspeaker, Lonerism and Currents. As a writer and producer Parker has collaborated with Travis Scott, SZA, Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Kanye West, Kali Uchis, Theophilus London, Miguel, A$AP Rocky and more.

Music News -Twin-Guitar Pioneers Wishbone Ash To Kick Off 2019 US Spring Tour beginning April 10, 2019!
To prep for Wishbone Ash's 50th anniversary, the band is celebrating its 49th year in characteristic fashion: with an extended tour. Dubbed XLIX (49 in Roman numerals), the tour began in October 2018 in the UK, followed by early-2019 dates in Europe and Japan. This spring, XLIX arrives on these shores.
Longtime fans and new converts alike will revel in the group’s signature twin-guitar mastery and powerhouse rhythm section as they present classics spanning their career.
The US leg of the XLIX Tour will revisit some of the band's favorite venues as well as new ones from the Eastern seaboard to the Rocky Mountains.
“We always look forward to meeting old friends and fans alike on our annual Midwest and East Coast tours,” says founding member Andy Powell. “American audiences are so supportive and enthusiastic!”
Formed in 1969 in London, England, Wishbone Ash is one of the most influential guitar bands in the history of rock. True road warriors, each year they log around 30,000 miles, roughly equivalent to circumnavigating the earth.
Mark Abrahams, the group's newest member, has been trading licks with Powell for two years. Right out of the gate, Abrahams earned rave reviews from critics and fans on both sides of the Atlantic. Longtime rhythm section Bob Skeat on bass and Joe Crabtree on drums continue to provide the solid groove that is their hallmark.
